The 32,600 SF, 41 unit facility is an addition to the existing 65 unit independent living congregate senior apartment facility. The addition is designed with a separate site entrance from the main building which will ensure each building maintains a separate identity. However, a common building access connection allows staff and residents to move freely from building to building, thus providing the continuity and efficiency of cross utilization of common facilities and activities.
This facility is part of the second phase of a 120 acre development. It provides the next level of care and service for the 182 existing independent living units developed in the initial phases of construction. The residential supportive living facility is designed to comply with the requirements of a sheltered living (assisted living) facility in the State of Illinois. The campus master plan also includes a skilled nursing facility to be constructed in phase three, thus completing the full continuum of care for their residents.
